Obviamente, se eu pudesse estar no Rose Bowl, não pensaria duas vezes. Por outro lado, não há do que reclamar em ter assistido o show sem enfrentar horas em filas. Estava confortavelmente acomodada na cadeira em frente ao computador, fones nos ouvidos em um volume apropriado para curtir o som do U2 e com o Twhirl aberto ao lado da janela do Firefox para conversar com os amigos Ane Meira (@anemeira), Luci Cobaltini (@ace_of_hearts) e Thiago Ferronatto (@tferronatto) no Twitter. E de que outro jeito eu teria várias imagens do show de diversos pontos de vista diferentes?

Assim que terminou, ainda fiquei um pouco em frente ao computador pensando “OMG! Eu fui no show do U2!” Ok, não é como estar lá no meio da galera pulando e gritando, mas também é diferente de assistir um dvd porque a transmissão é ao vivo. Por falar em transmissão ao vivo, logo que comecei a assistir o show, pensei que teria problemas no vídeo devido a conexão com a internet. Ainda bem que me enganei, a transmissão de áudio e de vídeo foi perfeita durante todo o show — provavelmente porque não tentei assistir em alta resolução.

Você conseguiu assistir sem problemas na transmissão?
Chegou atrasado no trabalho/escola/faculdade hoje?

Eu dormi 2h30 apenas — o show começou às 2h da manhã (GMT -3) e terminou depois das 4h. Cheguei 15min atrasada no trabalho hoje. Por outro lado, minha segunda-feira começou mais animada que o usual. Enquanto escrevo este post, são aprox. 20h42min e também não senti sono o dia todo. Ainda estou pensando em ver o show de novo!

Junto com Stand In The Rain – que também foi incluída nesse cd, Hold sintetiza de forma não só poética, mas principalmente com simplicidade, os momentos difíceis pelos quais passamos em que precisamos recuperar a segurança para continuar, apontando para o Criador como aquele que jamais nos abandona em “You have been the only One who never left me“.

Breathe continua com estilo reflexivo de Hold: “Each breath breathed means we’re alive/ And life means that we can find/ The reasons to keep on getting by/ And if reasons we can’t find/ We’ll make up some to get by/ ‘Til breath by breath we’ll/ leave this behind” (Cada respiração mostra que ainda estamos vivos/ E que a vida significa encontrar/ os motivos para continuar/ E se não parece haver motivo/ Inventamos algum/ Até que respiração a respiração/ deixamos isso para trás)

Depois de refletir sobre a vida nas duas faixas anteriores, So Beautiful volta a um estilo mais leve e descontraído, mas isso não significa falta de conteúdo! So Beautiful nega os padrões hipócritas que a sociedade impõe às mulheres, celebrando a beleza única de cada uma de nós: “We have dreams we were born to fulfill/ We were meant to be more than just fairy tale girls/ We are colors so bright, each a beautiful girl/ We are stars in the night, and we’re changing the world/ When every girl can see her beauty we will be an army” (Temos sonhos e nascemos para realizá-los/ Nascemos para ser mais do que garotas de contos de fadas/ Somos cores brilhantes, cada linda garota/ Somos estrelas e vamos mudar o mundo/ Quando cada garota ver sua beleza, seremos um exército)

Cross The Line, assim como Hey Hey, é sobre viver intensamente: “Everybody dies but not everyone lives// I’m gonna ride like I’ve got the cops on my tail/ I’m gonna live my life like I’m out on bail/ I’m gonna be out front, gonna blaze a trail/ I’m gonna cross that line” (Todos morrem, mas nem todos vivem// Vou correr como se os policiais estivessem na minha cola/ Vou viver minha vida como se estivesse livre sob fiança/ Vou ser a primeira, vou descobrir um caminho/ Vou ultrapassar limites!)
